Ian Elliot
Born in Glasgow, won Gold and Silver medals for Art on four successive occasions before attending Glasgow School of Art.
Thereafter having attended Jordan hill Education College, spent 28 years in the teaching profession to become for some 15 years, the Head of Art and Design at Kings Park School.
He Left teaching in 1997 to devote himself totally to the pursuit and development of his own artistic career.
He now visits and gains much inspiration from the Island of Mallorca and from Italy, sharply contrasting environments from that of his native Scotland. He is known for incorporating the strong colours of the Mediterranean in all of his landscapes.
Ian’s work has appeared in the prestigious International Artist magazine as one of ten finalists for their (global) landscape competition.
Besides Britain is works can be found hanging in Spain, Canada, USA, and other European countries
